This Is What Synth Pop Looked Like 30 Years Ago – The Sparks’ ‘Number 1 Song in Heaven’

From 1979, Sparks’ Number 1 Song in Heaven.

This is what synth pop looked like 30 years ago!

via itsfullofstarseileenh28:

Not one, not two, but three, count ‘em, THREE Ron Maels. Three very pretty Ron Maels.

If that ain’t heaven, I don’t know what is.

The 3 pretty Rons make up for the bad hair day (month? year? decade?) that Russell was having.

Update: Well well well. That Group is no longer interested in taking this video down. You can watch it as much as you want. But you still should buy the record “No. 1 in Heaven”, it’s very good.

Disco Artists That Time Forgot – Ganymed

Click here to view the embedded video.

This video captures a performance of It Takes Me Higher, by disco artists that time forgot, Ganymed.

If you’re a Moroder fan, Ganymed’s electronic disco music doesn’t sound that far of from the techno disco master himself.

Ganymed would have been at home in the original Battlestar Galactica or Buck Rogers, don’t you think?

Note: You’ll have to crank the video’s volume to get the full disco artists that time forgot effect.
